We recently invited our investors to join us for a webinar with Pete Kibel from Fishtek Marine – a marine conservation organisation that is currently raising equity on our Triodos crowdfunding platform.
Fishtek Marine designs and produces technology to reduce the impact of fishing on the marine environment. The founding brothers Pete Kibel, a fisheries biologist, and Ben Kibel, an engineer, established the company in 2016 to use their understanding of ecology and engineering to develop technologies which protect the marine environment. Their organisation offers the pioneering alternatives to destructive fishing practices.
On the webinar, Pete talked about the company’s journey so far, their growth plans as they look to commercialise recently developed products, and their plans to invest in sales and marketing roles to maximise existing products growth potential.
The session was hosted by Triodos Crowdfunding co-workers and offered attendees the chance to ask questions to the management team. For those who were unable to attend, a recording of the session is available here.
Investments offered on this platform are not readily
realisable, which means that they may be difficult to sell and you may not get
back the full amount invested. Investments are not covered by the Financial
Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) and your capital is at risk and returns are
not guaranteed. Repayment of capital and interest or payment of dividends will
be dependent on the success of the organisation's business model and past performance isn’t a
reliable indicator of future performance. You should
always read the offer document in full before deciding whether or not to invest as it
will cover risks specific to an individual investment. You can read more about
the general risks associated with making these types of investments. If
you are unsure if any of these investments are right for you, you should
